In the Webster's dictionary "wisdom" is defined as accumulated philosophic or scientific learning: KNOWLEDGE; ability to discern inner qualities and relationships:INSIGHT; good sense: JUDGMENT.

Wisdom root word in Hebrew "chokmah," the noun means wisdom; experience; shrewdness. Like chakam, most occurrences of this word are in Job, Proverbs, and Ecclesiastes. The chakam seeks after chokmah, "wisdom". Like chakam, the word chokmah can refer to technical skills or special abilities in fashioning something.  It is also defined as the knowledge and the ability to make the right choices at the opportune time.

I am sure that in your walk and growth in the Lord, that you have at times wondered if you had known then what you know now you would have made less mistakes and achieved greater success. The book of Proverbs focus on achieving wisdom and understanding. The elders and leader's in the church have acquired them through experience.
Proverb 1:5 "A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels".
Here are pearls of wisdom from the experience of elders.

"What I would tell everybody, especially the youth is to use your own mind. Be a leader and not a follower. It is better to be influential than to be influenced by worldly standards".  Sister Brenda
